Code: Installing & Updating your Profile

The profile code section is where you go when you’re done and you’re ready to make your new amazing profile go LIVE on MFC! You’ll come back to this button any time you make any changes and need to reinstall your profile.

Code Button

From the left side Main Menu find the Code Button near the bottom of the list and click it. If you do not see the button you do not have access to the paid subscription for the Profile Builder.

 

 

 

You should see something like this.

 

If this is your first time installing your profile go to First Time Install and check your settings first. This is also good to do if you’re having any installation problems.

1st Box

 

This is your HTML code. To insert this code begin by copying all of the code in the box. The simplest way to do this is to left click anywhere inside the box, click Ctrl+A (select all) then Ctrl+C (copy).

Next go to your Model Admin page (you’ll need to be logged in on your model account). From the left side menu click Edit Profile. Under Profile Information Click the Step Four tab. Scroll down to the More About Me/Bio box at the bottom and paste the code into the box (Ctrl+V). At the bottom of the page click the blue Save Profile button.

2nd box

If you don’t see any code in box 2 it is safe to skip this section entirely.

This is also HTML code. To insert this code begin by copying all of the code in the box. The simplest way to do this is to left click anywhere inside the box, click Ctrl+A (select all) then Ctrl+C (copy).

Next go to your Model Admin page (you’ll need to be logged in on your model account). In the menu on the left side click Edit Profile. Under Profile Information click the Step Three tab. Scroll down to the Meaning Of Life box at the bottom and paste the code into the box (Ctrl+V). At the bottom of the page click the blue Save Profile button.

3rd box

This is your CSS code. To insert this code begin by copying all of the code in the box. The simplest way to do this is to left-click anywhere inside the box, click Ctrl+A (select all) then Ctrl+C (copy).

Next go to your Model Admin page (you’ll need to be logged in on your model account).

In the menu on the left side under My Profile click Customize Profile.

You should see a box that says Custom CSS. If you don’t, click ‘edit your css directly’ then Paste (ctrl+V) the code from Box 3 here. Then at the bottom of the page click the blue Update CSS button.

Go check out your Profile BB!

In the left side menu of the model admin page click View Profile to check out your shiny new profile. If things don’t look quite right don’t panic. Go to our troubleshooting page, and if trying those things doesn’t work just get in contact with us so we can help.

First Time Install

The first time you install you’ll want to check your MFC settings are correct. If you’re having problems at any point, check these settings before you contact us.

Go to your Model Admin page (you’ll need to be logged in on your model account).

In the menu on the left side under My Profile click Edit Profile

Profile HTML Layout

If you have an older Myfreecams account you may see a Profile HTML Layout heading like the image below. If so, double check that you have checked Use the new HTML layout.

Profile Sections

Next check under the Profile Sections heading and make sure that the About Me and the Interests & Hobbies sections are set to be displayed. You can hide or display any of the other sections that you like.

Warning: The Profile Builder is made to be used with the About Me section set to display at the top of your profile and using it with other configurations may make your profile display incorrectly. It has not been extensively tested with the Featured Video Message or the News Feed features so use these cautiously.

Custom CSS Settings

From your Model Admin page (you’ll need to be logged in on your model account).

In the menu on the left side under “My Profile” click “Customize Profile”.

From here what you see will depend on what you’ve done in the past. If you are currently using advanced CSS you’ll see the Custom CSS box.

If you’ve never used advanced CSS before, you’ll see text reading “You can customize your profile here or you can edit your css directly (for advanced users).” at the top. Click edit your css directly.

 

Check that the CSS Framework is set to None.

 

Your settings are correct and you’re ready to install. Go to Box 1
